Cyprus Backyard Sprint Race 2023 Liability Release Waiver (the «Waiver»)

I _________________________________________________________ do hereby affirm and

acknowledge that I have been fully informed of the inherent hazards and risks associated with participation in Cyprus Backyard Sprint Race 2023 which will take place on 29 October 2023 (the «Event»). I agree to all the terms and conditions set forth in this Waiver as make the following representations of the date of the Event:

1. I am at least 18 years of age.
2. I (i) am in good health and proper physical condition to participate in the Event; (ii) am neither pregnant nor might be pregnant; (iii) have no existing or pre-existing heart conditions; and (iv) am not under the influence of any illicit or prescription drugs which may in any way impair my ability to participate safely in the Event. It is my sole responsibility to determine whether I am sufficiently fit to participate in the Event.
3. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE EVENT IS A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY THAT INVOLVES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH, AND OTHER UNKNOWN RISKS AND DANGERS. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ANY INJURIES THAT I SUSTAIN MAY BE COMPOUNDED BY NEGLIGENT EMERGENCY RESPONSE OR RESCUE OPERATIONS OF THE RELEASEES DEFINED BELOW. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER INVOLVED AND AGREE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, DEATH, AND OTHER UNKNOWN RISKS AND DANGERS WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.
4. Therefore, notwithstanding the risks of participating in the Event set forth and as described above, I agree to assume and accept all risks associated with the Event and hereby release and indemnify the Event organizers and participants from any and all claims, demands, causes of actions, suits, losses, costs, expenses, damages or demands whatsoever, including but not limited to legal and attorneys’ fees.
5. I agree that this Waiver shall be (a) binding upon me and my heirs, executors, legal representatives, successors, and assignors, and (b) deemed a contract made under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and shall be governed by, and construed and enforced in accordance with, the internal laws of the said Republic without regard to its principles of conflict of laws.
